Step 1

Click on Start > All Programs > My Network Places [Right-click on My Network Places] > Click on Properties

Step 2

Right-click on Local Area Network > Click on Properties

Step 3

Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) > Then click on Properties

Step 4

Select Use the following IP Address

Enter in the required info:
IP Address (for this example we are using 192.168.1.10
Subnet mask (you may try 255.255.255.0)
Default gateway (192.168.1.1) this is the IP address of the Linksys Router

Click on Use the following DNS server addresses
Preferred DNS server (given to you by your DSL/Cable provider)
Alternate DNS server (given to you by your DSL/Cable provider)

Click OK. If computer asks to reboot, click OK to reboot.
